The Assam Chamber of Commerce (ACC) and the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) today staged a dharna at Christian Bast, Guwahati calling for the fulfillment of four demands.
The four-point charter of demands includes opposing the acquisition of e-commerce company Flipkart by Walmart, the abolition of individual income tax, simplification of GST and introduction of pension for all businessman and traders.
At the end of the dharna, a delegation of the Guwahati district committee of ACC submitted two separate memorandums to the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister through the Kamrup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner.
